CPA Day of Service: Giving Back to Your Community

PrintThe FICPA YCPA committee is spearheading our annual statewide CPA Day of Service on Saturday, May 21, 2016.  Across the state, CPAs will gather together to give back to their communities. This is the perfect occasion to get involved! Here are two ways:

  1. Plan your own community service project, then register your event so others can lend a helping hand. You can do something on your own or volunteer with an organization. Getting involved can be as simple as assisting the elderly with odd jobs around the house, planning a beach cleanup, or handing out information about financial literacy. Get creative and make it something meaningful for you and your community.
  2. Sign up to help with an event that has been planned in your region by YCPA committee members, then show up!

Start Planning Today!  Propose a project to your chapter members or get together with others at your firm. This is also a wonderful time to involve student members, who are looking for ways to learn from professional role models who are willing to lead the way. So start looking at the possibilities…CPA Day of Service on May 21st will be here before you know it!
